Stanley Gibbons Baldwin’s Offers High-grade 2 Guineas Certified by NGC

An exciting selection of coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) is being offered in an upcoming Stanley Gibbons Baldwin's auction that is focused on British numismatic rarities. Online bidding is already underway for the Ancient, British & World Coins - Auction 120, which will be held on March 12, 2025.
The top NGC-certified highlight of the auction is an England 1681 2 Guineas graded NGC MS 63 and pedigreed to the Waterbird Collection (lot 194), with an estimate of £35,000 to £55,000 (about $45,000 to $71,000). Featuring King Charles II's second laureate head on the obverse and the iconic crowned cruciform shields with interlinked C's on the reverse, it is a stunning example of 17th century minting. The coin is unsurpassed in the NGC Census and is the finest known example of all Charles II second head 2 Guineas, according to the auction house.

- an Umayyad AH107(726) Dinar graded NGC UNC Details (lot 613), with an estimate of £4,000 to £6,000 (about $5,200 to $7,700)
- a Hong Kong 1866 Half Dollar graded NGC AU 55 (lot 561), with an estimate of £1,500 to £2,000 (about $1,900 to $2,600)
