NGC-certified World and Ancient Coins Offered in Künker Sale

Many NGC-certified coins from private collections are available in Künker's March sales.

A large selection of world and ancient coins that are certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) are being offered in a series of Künker auctions. Bidding is already underway for the auctions, being held on March 16-20, 2023.

Auction 384 features coins, medals and stamps from the collection of Dr. Franz Schedel. Among the NGC-certified coins offered is this Austria 1687 Salzburg 25 Ducat graded NGC MS 61 (lot 2950) with an estimate of € 75,000 (about $80,000). This gold coin’s obverse features two saints associated with Salzburg: St. Rupert and St. Virgil.

  • an Austria 1587 Salzburg 10 Ducat graded NGC AU 58 (lot 2671) with an estimate of € 40,000 (about $43,000)
  • an Austria 1668 Salzburg 10 Ducat Klippe graded NGC MS 62 (lot 2894) with an estimate of € 40,000 (about $43,000)
  • an Austria 1522 Salzburg 4 Ducat graded NGC MS 63 (lot 2522) with an estimate of € 30,000 (about $32,000)
  • an Austria 1615 Salzburg 4 Ducat - Bust graded NGC MS 62 (lot 2753) with an estimate of € 25,000 (about $27,000)
  • an Austria 1617 Salzburg 4 Ducat graded NGC UNC Details (lot 2763) with an estimate of € 25,000 (about $27,000)

Auction 383 includes coins from the Roger Wolf Collection, such as this Germany 1696 IK Saxony 4 Ducat graded NGC MS 63 (lot 2363). It shows Augustus II, an Elector of Saxony and later King of Poland from 1697 to 1706 and again from 1709 to 1733. This coin has an estimate of € 50,000 (about $53,000).

  • a Great Britain 1826 5 Sovereign graded NGC PF 60 (lot 2209) with an estimate of € 25,000 (about $27,000)
  • a Germany 1619 Saxony 4 Ducat graded NGC MS 62 (lot 2342) with an estimate of € 25,000 (about $27,000)
  • a Germany 1681 CF Saxony 4 Ducat graded NGC MS 61 (lot 2356) with an estimate of € 25,000 (about $27,000)

Auction 382 features ancient coins from around the world, including this Sicily, Gela c.420-415 B.C. Silver Tetradrachm graded NGC Ancients Ch AU, 4/5 Strike and 4/5 Surface with Fine Style (lot 36). This coin is pedigreed to the Salton Collection and has an estimate of € 50,000 (about $53,000).

  • a Roman Empire, Nero A.D. 54-68 Gold Aureus graded NGC Ancients Ch XF, 4/5 Strike and 4/5 Surface (lot 390), with an estimate of € 15,000 (about $16,000)
