Mavin International Sale Includes Rarities Certified by PMG and NGC

The November auction features a variety of rare currency from around the world.

Mavin International, a prestigious Singapore firm that serves as an Official Submission Center to Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) and Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®), is holding its Auction 61 sale. Featuring PMG-certified banknotes and NGC-certified coins from around the world, the auction will be held on November 19, 2022.

Leading the sale is a group of 25 Singapore, Board of Commissioners of Currency ND (1999) 100 Dollar banknotes that have low or otherwise fancy serial numbers, which are popular among banknote collectors. The serial numbers include 000001 to 000010, 000088, 000888, 008888, 088888, 123456, Super Solid 1s to 9s and a 1 million, all graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ to PMG 69 Superb Gem Uncirculated EPQ. The one-of-a-kind group (lot 111) has an estimate of SGD110,000 (about $77,400) and up.

Also being offered in the sale is a variety of NGC-certified coins from around the world. The top NGC-certified offering in the sale is an Order of Malta 2001 Gold 5,000 Liras featuring well-known humanitarian Mother Teresa. Graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo, this coin is tied with another for the top grade in the NGC Census. This modern rarity (lot 526) has an estimate of SGD4,200 (about $3,000).
